The step up from B1 sits in the tasks, not the pass mark. Lesen runs to five Teile in 65 minutes, one of them sentence insertion. Hören has four, and its first Teil mixes richtig and falsch with a, b, c questions inside one part. Schreiben is 75 minutes for two texts worth 60 and 40 points, marked on A to E bands where an E on Erfüllung takes the whole task to zero.
