One Sheet per System, Nothing the Exam Does Not Ask
A cheat sheet earns its place by what it leaves out. These four hold the grammar an examiner marks and the sentences a candidate needs, and the first draft was cut by a fifth to fit.
Sheet 1
Nouns and cases
- Gender from the ending: which suffixes are always die, das or der
- The plural patterns, and the dative -n nobody remembers
- The article grid for der- and ein-words with the r-n-m-s pattern behind it
- Pronouns in three cases, the dative verbs, adjective endings as one habit
Sheet 2
Verbs
- Present tense with sein, haben and werden; the stem changes; the modal paradigm
- Perfekt: haben or sein, and how the participle is built
- The Prรคteritum forms exams actually use, and the 42 irregular verbs you cannot avoid
- Separable prefixes, the imperative, polite Konjunktiv II, reflexives
Sheet 3
Word order and prepositions
- The verb rails: six sentences on the four positions every German sentence has
- Connectors sorted by what they do to the verb, with wann, wenn and als
- Prepositions by case, the two-way rule, the going and being chunks
- 30 verb + preposition pairs, and how to ask back with wo- and da-
Sheet 4
The exam kit
- Pronunciation: the letters that are not English
- Numbers, dates and the clock, including halb acht
- The sentences every Sprechen part runs on, and the letter frames for Schreiben
- The ten mistakes that cost the most points

Every Line on the Sheets Is a Chapter You Can Open
The sheets were written from the Ankommo course, 109 chapters from A1 to B2 with audio for every example and exercises that grade you kindly. When a rule will not stick, the chip on its panel tells you which level teaches it, and the chapter is one search away. The account that unlocks the PDF is the same account that opens the course.
A1 chips
What the first exam expects: articles, present tense, the accusative, word order.
A2 chips
Adjective endings, the Perfekt in full, connectors, the polite forms.
B1 chips
Verbs with prepositions, wo- and da-, the presentation and discussion frames.
Watch out
The mistakes that cost points at every level, from seit with the present to nicht mรผssen.

Before You Sign Up
Is the cheat sheet really free?
Yes. Create a free Ankommo account and the four-page PDF is yours to download and print, along with the first five chapters of every course level. No card, no trial timer.
Which exams does it cover?
The grammar and phrases the Goethe-Zertifikat and telc exams test at A1, A2 and B1: cases and articles, verbs and tenses, word order, prepositions, numbers and the clock, and the sentence frames for the speaking and writing parts. Every panel carries a chip saying which level first expects it.
Can I print it?
It is built for printing: four A4 pages, laid out so that double-sided gives you two sheets. The colours are light enough that a black-and-white print loses nothing, because each level chip carries its letters.
Why do I need an account to download it?
The sheet is one page per topic, and every line on it is a chapter in the course, with audio and exercises. An account gives you both, and lets us send you the sheet again if you lose it. The account is free and takes about thirty seconds with Google or an email address.
Is it enough on its own to pass an exam?
No cheat sheet is. It is the reference you keep next to your desk while you practise, and the thing you re-read the night before. The practice itself, with real exam formats, is in the course.
