Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1 and telc Deutsch A1 are one exam, developed together by the Goethe-Institut and telc and issued under both names. This chapter explains what each of the four parts asks you to do, how the exam is scored and what you need to pass. It then gives the most useful tips for each part and teaches the German words used in the exam instructions. When you are ready, sit each part as a timed mock in the Exam Prep Center.
